Even if recorder ensembles are not well know in France, at a European level they have a greater following (musicians and audiences) which can be seen through the festivals and competitions organized or recorders in other countries in Europe. Recorder players have their own federations :
As group activities, purely friendly meetings are less common. The originality of giving the possibility to this instrument pleased us greatly especially as France is not usually represented at European events. The recorder ensembles in France are therefore invited to make themselves known.
The aim of this is to develop an emulation amongst the recorder students from all regions in France to help their technical and artistic evolution. We hope this may allow them to travel further afield later with their music.
